This is not a click-bait headline. In fact, the phrase "utterly insane" is an understatement. Another underlying factor that's only touched upon tangentially is the lobbying power of the corporations who are profiting off of the current system. Our current mess is a direct consequence of skewed incentives in the economy, which prioritize shareholder value over everything else. It's kind of a no-brainer that unregulated companies will tend towards exploitative practices - it's baked into the system. #HealthcareCrisis #YayCapitalism https://open.substack.com/pub/yourlocalepidemiologist/p/aca-health-care-insurance-us-jetelina
