I had high expectations of #Yatagarasu and yet it exceeded them all. I never had the opportunity to describe this about an #anime, but the first "arc"/half was full of (super intriguing, not stressful) DRAMA - which I totally didn't expect. I almost feel like it's completely safe/valid to recommend the first ~13 episodes to drama lovers that weren't particularly into/familiar with anime.

Subsequent episodes then continued to expand the lore, world building of the anime and I just couldn't stop simping for the whole idea/lore of the world - last I had this reaction was for #AttackOnTitan, specifically in the very early seasons when Titans and Paradis were more interesting/relevant in the story.

The main character also absolutely passed my vibe check, in flying colours particularly bcos of how unique I found his character is compared to any other MCs (for me). Excellent choice of cast too in the seiyu department, particularly the MC, Prince, and his brother - it's also really nice to recognise Kaine's (from #NierReplicant) voice as the Empress, though it's sad to know that if the anime continues, this voice will almost definitely be changed seeing that Tanaka Atsuko has passed :(

I could go on and on about this anime, and it's probably way too early to call it (at least, one of) my absolute fav after just 20 episodes, but it's so tempting bcos it's THAT good.

Estranho, a animação da aberta é a mesma, não mudou nada mesmo o que aparece não sendo mais relevante para esse novo arco.
Já o encerramento mudou, mas não mudou o bastante? Aparece menos personagens do que no arco anterior e personagem que esperava ver como a Hamayu não aparece... preocupante, porque ela aparece no episódio, mas foi só para mostrar que ela está no Palácio/Casa do Príncipe para não ficarmos questionando aonde ela está?

Mas não se e encontra mesmo nenhum vídeo falando de #Yatagarasu

"Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai" foi o melhor anime da temporada passada e passou praticamente despercebido!
Já achava a série muito bem feita e escrita, esse episódio 13 se destaca mas só foi possível porque os outros 12 anteriores foram muito bem escritos/roteirizados.

Mas isso tem um efeito colateral excelente, porque eu gostei da Hamayu, e estava pensando que a Asebi será uma Imperatriz muito chata e sem graça. Mas com essa situação o Príncipe não pode escolher ela, não é? Então... será que a Hamayu volta? Ou o Príncipe ficará solteiro ainda por mais um bom tempo?

"Sei" que o Kazumi não morreu, estava esperando ser revelado o que aconteceu com ele, o que ele anda fazendo esse tempo todo, mas por isso não esperava e... não, não é possível que o Príncipe tinha o "plano" de o Kazumi entrar lá e engravidar a Shiratama!

Imaginava que o Natsuka não queria o trono nem fazer mal ao Príncipe, mas não imaginava que ele fosse tão aliado assim do Príncipe.

Dito isso... foi duro assistir esse episódio com aquela cena ridícula de "não mata o Príncipe agora não, espera até ele poder resistir e fugir". Que absurdo, não esperava um momento ridículo como esse nessa série.
Estragou a surpresa de o Atsufusa ter me enganado.

Teoria.
Não acredito que o invasor seja o Kazumi, mesmo com o simbolismo dele ser um "jardineiro aparando os ramos (outras princesas) para a planta (Shiratama) crescer", porque não faz sentido ele ir para o Palácio do Oeste daquele jeito muito menos fugir na direção do Palácio do Norte podendo incriminar a Shiratama.

Recently I started watching ongoing anime Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai (Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master). And after the ending of each episode there's a beautiful end card with one of the characters. I genuinely enjoyed the drawing style, admired the feel and elegance of the work and only now found out: it's THAT very artist from tumblr! 名司生(なつき)。Fantastic.

I'm a little late to the party, but #Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master, is my plot-twist heavy anime of the season, and it's not even finished yet.

It's kinda like #ApothecaryDiaries but with a really annoying secretive prince solving an interlocking mystery.
