Looking forward to this movie, with score by Yasmin Williams.
I'm not usually a soundtrack listener. However, these vignettes are filled with her characteristic impressionism and feeling, though with less of the virtuosity and brilliance of the longer pieces on her earlier albums. I guess that's appropriate for a movie score.

Guess I'm staying in the #Americana zone for this next one. #YasminWilliams has a very unique guitar style and is a excellent at writing instrumental melodies. Her new album "Acadia" drops 10/4.

back at the world financial center's wintergarden mall/atrium for the 1st time since ??? to check out #YasminWilliams's live score for #CharlieChaplin's "the kid" (1921). gorgeous pieces for lap-tapped acoustic guitar & kalimba, but mostly ended up zoning in on chaplin's utter brilliance, probably because while they've almost tamed the atrium's echo, they've still neglected to build any kind of real stage, despite 30+ years of live music in this space.
