Almere City FC wordt overgenomen door het Japanse bedrijf Yanmar. De club uit de Keuken Kampioen Divisie maakte maandag bekend dat het familiebedrijf, dat al tien jaar stadionsponsor is, een overeenkomst heeft getekend met Kroonenberg Groep over de overname van alle aandelen en het stadion van de club.

Achievement unlocked: rebuilt the transmission in my sailboat. On the left is my forward gear, which in this photo is lapped. On the right is my reverse gear, which was still pretty glazed. On this transmission, there's a cone clutch that is pushed into the gear that is driven. Eventually the inside of the gear gets glazed, which makes the clutch slip, which results in a motor that acts a bit like a bucking bronco. The transmission engages and the prop spins, then things slip, then it engages again, then slips again...

Anyway, everything went back together. In total: 7 trips to the hardware store (so far....I have yet to put the transmission back in the boat). I spent about $500 on tools, $150 on miscellaneous compounds and gaskets.

Paying someone else to fix it probably would have cost $2000.

Hmm. That might explain why the starter motor failed.
