1. Had a lovely dinner with NM. Smoked turkey legs and loaded mashed potatoes. all homemade.

2. Snagged The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle with The Sims 1, The Sims 2 and all the accompanying packs.

3. Played three rounds of Yahtzee with NM. I won 2/3, but regardless, it was nice actually playing a "board" game again for a change. Reminds me of the good ole' days.

Spent some time this evening learning #qt for #python. Created a little program to see how many consecutive rolls it takes to get a natural #yahtzee. I am always amazed at things like this.

The interesting part is that it doesn't take very many attemps to zero in on the actual odds of rolling a natural yahtzee

odds are 1/1296.

in just 10k rolls, there were 6 natural yahtzees, and it took up to 11k consecutive rolls to get a natural yahtzee.. and the average is right around 1299

Have you ever seen a natural #yahtzee ? someone rolling 5 dice and getting 5 of a kind on one roll?

i have NEVER seen one in playing for a bazillion years.

Turns out the odds aren't too bad.
