I've been given* an Xteink X4 by a pal who couldn't get on with it.
In the short time I've had it (maybe a couple of hours) I've got Crosspoint on it and connected it to Calibre.
It seems like a decent little eReader considering its Lilliputian dimensions.
Now, what can I use it for?
(My Boox Page is in good health still)*There's a quid-pro-quo in that I've got to help him with a job later on.

Update on the tiny ereader: I'm still loving my #XTEink and use it often, and Jupiter loves and uses theirs, too. This has really been worth the $69 for each of us.
This photo is from my doc's office today, instead of painting (I've already sketched that office a dozen times, lol), I decided to read. This is _The Lost Art of Reading Nature's Signs_ by Tristan Gooley, one of my favorite books. I've never read it on the XTEink before, but it formatted great.

Very nice little system update from Xteink today 👀📖
Not sure if the cover art on the lock screen was available in previous versions of the system. But it's a nice flourish and it's a relief to have the font and readability improvements too.
I'm really enjoying this pocket size e-reader.

Does anyone know where to get a Xteink X4 in the UK?
I'm looking for it but Amazon doesn't seem to sell it, I really don't trust the Aliexpress sellers, and I've heard that the customer support from the official store is appalling...
Any ideas or suggestions?

Ok, så min xteink x4 har kommet, og den er ganske kul. Men jeg får bare ikke til å installere et nytt OS på den, og jeg blir gæren. Jeg har prøvd via både Linux og Windows, men begge sier bare noe sånt som "no supported serial port detected". Selgeren skrev veldig stort og tydelig at dette skal være versjonen som har støtte for tredjeparts Oser. Så nå er jeg litt sur. Har prøvd to forskjellige USB-kabler også, og begge to fikk Windowsen til å si at den så en enhet.

Have ordered one of the Xteink 4 eReaders I’ve been hearing so much about. Looking forward to trying some of the community developed firmware replacements.
I’ve usually liked bigger screens, but a literal pocket reader has appeal, and the sub-$100 price, and physical buttons, makes it even more appealing…
