I'm proposing we start using #XMS (eXtensible Messaging System) as a shorter version of #XMPP. This would be easier to remember as similar to SMS/MMS. What do you think about it?

Does anyone have a himem.sys or similar XMS driver that works with the ROM-DOS on the Nokia Communicator 9000/9110/9110i? I need a method to access the memory above 1M from DOS.

Sometimes i feel like i should set the record straight on #Intel 80286 extended memory modes.

#Vogons has a pretty good table on them. 80286 is a 16-bit #CPU with 24-bit address space accessed through 4(!) different methods below with each having its own pros and cons. #DOS #Emulator development is hardcore:
