Najlepiej chyba wspominam pierwsze lata na G+, na twarzoksiążce nigdy nie byłem specjalnie aktywny, ćwierkacz jakoś przeszedł bokiem, tak samo jak insta, tik-tak i kij wie co jeszcze.
Chyba nigdy nie byłem specjalnie social friendly -

for the record, fun fact: while in xmpp clients encryption can downgrade in your existing chats at any point, in Delta Chat encryption of chats can never downgrade or the key change (ex. by malicious server trying to do MITM)

@arcanechat @Zeitzeuge_64 @spla I didn't try it, maybe I should, but I am not very convinced by the idea of doing messaging with special things like polls via email. For me email is for emails and I'd rather use a protocol which is designed for messaging like #matrix or #xmmp.
I know XMPP has problems with fragmentation and Matrix seems to be centered a bit too much around synapse (definitely improving), does not allow me to delete accounts (test accounts!!) and has some other imperfections.

Ich habe befürchtet das es passieren wird.
Beim #whatsapp #Diday gibt es jetzt etliche Alternativen.
Die reichen von #Signal, was von #AWS abhängig ist, bis hin zu #Matrix und #Xmmp
Das kann auf breiter Masse nur in die Hose gehen.

Diese wurden nicht eingetragen weil diese zum Nächsten Bekanntenkreis gehören die sowieso in der Telefonliste stehen.
Diese Telefonnummern mussten Aktiv eingetragen werden.
Wie bei Email ja auch.
Bei #XMMP muss man auch Aktiv die #XMMP Adressen eingeben.
Ich sehe darin keinen Unterschied.
Das geht per #QRcode oder durch Einladung. -

On a utilisé un temps #XMMP ma nana et moi pour se contacter un moment où je n'avais plus de phone fonctionnel. A part le chat, ça marchait aléatoirement, voire jamais en visio. Et on y était seuls. On a abandonné.

@skeeve Regelmäßig: #Signal, #Threema, #Telegram und #SMS. Telegram nur für unwichtige Gruppen, nix vertrauliches. SMS für die WhatsApp only Nutzer. Twitter Account habe ich, bespiele ich aber nicht. #Jabber bzw. #XMMP hatte ich früher, bis mein Mail Anbieter den Dienst geschlossen hat. Kontakte hatte ich dort nur während meiner #Piratenpartei Mitgliedschaft. #Matrix ist zwar vorhanden, aber quasi keine Relevanz für mich, da bis jetzt keine weiteren Kontakte dort.

At my work at the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) we use some nice #OpenSource tools: e.g. instead of Skype or Teams we can chat with each other via XMMP. This is then the "TIB Chat". Pidgin runs on the Windows or Gnu/Linux clients and you can use Conversations for your mobile phone.🚀
