Screened "Dark Phoenix" as I wrapped up the work week and feel like I enjoyed it a bit more now that I went in with tempered expectations.
It is a deeply flawed film - should have chosen better antagonists than the D'Bari - but there were some parts that did work. I think that the main problem is that everyone who has attempted to adapt this story only tells a part of it in too short of time, which renders the attempt flawed before the first shot.
