I've never used tiling window managers like i3 (https://i3wm.org/) or awesome (https://awesomewm.org/) on my workstations. Perhaps I'm wrong, and I should definitely give them a try and always use them in the future. But for several years now, I've been using a different compromise: instead of tiling the entire screen, I tile the space only in the terminal using tmux and this config (https://github.com/gpakosz/.tmux).

where does Mutter/ Budgie come from? it seems to be independent of the KDE/ Gnome universes.
I dunno. I feel like I see components from this or that, in that or this and it's keeping track. But does it matter.I do know it matters when I'm messing around w/ the old #HDMI out on the #Funai #Magnavox thing from nineteen eighty 'fore.

On that persons page are two recently updated #xfwm themes that resembles some oldschool while not looking like Win95/98 imho. Personally haven't tried them though. -

Installato #XFCE dopo aver rotto KDE in modo bizzarro, dovevo comunque farlo per provare #Cortile, programma che si mette sopra altri Window Manager come #XFWM o Openbox, per fornire l'autotiling
Cortile è un fork di #Zentile che aggiunge cose utili, come l'ignorare finestre di alcuni programmi e poter cambiare ordine alle finestre trascinandole

I've just uploaded a new #xfwm window decoration #theme:

"Both active and inactive window border colors are gotten from current #GTK theme, so it'll blend very well with it. The previews are taken using Adwaita Dark Green and Nextwaita Dark SCALE GTK3 themes.
Also, window borders are thick enough so that resizing a window is not en exercise of marksmanship with the mouse.
