028 - Rictor
Another card with a good sense of movement; you can really feel the seismic waves going to and from Rictor's hands.

‘Inglorious X-Force’ #5 review: Sinister motives
The recent Inglorious X-Force series from Marvel has walked the nostalgia/new story tight rope extremely well for the past few issues, and has made me care about characters I never really did before. The fifth issue, from writer Tim Seeley and artists Michael Sta Maria and Roi Mercado, finally gives use some answers on which […]

027 - Sunspot
Capturing Sunspot's power glow-up era. Something about the domino mask on his "dark solar" face works really well, despite being functionally ridiculous.

026 - Siryn
There's a way you can read this card as "she's just failing" and while I might like a little bit of a scream effect, I think you can also read it as a more dynamic "dropping in for an attack" picture.

025 - Cannonball
Great sense of movement & narrative and impressive use of coloring (everything is roughly in the same palette, but Sam still pops). Top notch.
Kudos also for the immortality reference, a then-topical development.

024 - Boomer
I don't love the time-bombs - they look too much like soap bubbles - but otherwise a solid card, with Stelfreeze rendering a fair amount of personality.

023 - Warpath
I remain somewhat cool to Brereton's cards. They're all fine, but this, Domino, Revanche, are all kinda bland and same-ish. Medium depth, 3/4 figures, basic layout.
Also not sure what's going on w/the right hand.

022 - Shatterstar
Fun look to this, almost like an animation cel.
The regeneration callout on the cardback is interesting; it's not wrong, but it's not something that got directly mentioned a lot in the comics.

021 - Cable
Fantastic card. Love seeing Sienkiewicz doing one of the "later" New Mutants.
This set briefly tries to make Six Pack happen, so Cable gets two Group Affiliations (Domino was flagged as Six Pack too).

020 - Domino
Because this set eschews listing a character's first appearance on the cardback, we don't know if it would have cited New Mutants #98 or X-Force #11 for Domino.

Seems apt that this is the last card of the "set."
Nary a hint of "Adam X" to be found!
