It's good to see people seeking out alternative #Discord solutions lately. If you're looking for a gaming-centric replacement, might I suggest a return to #Xfire?
This particular revival project is operated by some kind folks who are working to improve the service by expanding support for old and new games alike. It includes robust game integration and streamlined chat support for one-on-one and group conversations. I'm on there as rcompute, hope to see you as well!

If anyone wants to join xfire.chat the registration link is http://register.xfire.chat, I'm still testing stuff out so it's a WIP for now. But I'm going to try to get a few people to use it rather than zoom since it can handle video and audio calls if the client supports it.

So the xfire.chat #xmpp server is up and running while I mess with a few things. You should be able to make an account with any client. Website registration should be coming soonish.
