OK I'll bite - #Xer music for Generation X for #AlternateFridayMusic⁩ .

We spent most of the 1980s in the shadow of pending nuclear apocalypse so taking that, and a band with "X" in their name, how about "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" by Ultravox.

So my thought here is A) The title contains “xer” - haha, ain’t I clever - and B) #JoyDivision and the whole spectrum of #PostPunk hit just as the first GenXers were coming of age.

While Joy Division flickered only briefly in their dark world until Ian Curtis left us, the stark landscapes they left behind endure.
