Another suggestion I've found is Xeovo. I'm not sure how good they are either, they seem even more obscure, but they at least aren't owned by assholes. And what I have heard of them seems fine.
My only gripe is gonna be not having an app, but that's manageable.

just throwing my 2 cents into the #vpn choices and based on what i've looked at in the last few days.
(yes i'm moving away from #mullvad not in a cutting off my nose to spite my face sort of way)i've looked at the following and i've decided not to go with : #ivpn, #windscribe
i also avoided #kagi (incidentally also partnered with ws with discounts) which has AI , based in US and a paid model that I suspect I'll still be the product even though I paid. Either way, i've tested the free search and I don't find it life changing great.
the ones that made the 'okay' list was : #njalla, #xeovo, #riseup, #airvpn
i wasn't able to find (easily) a list of server locations with #njalla,
njalla, riseup and xeovo needed some sort of tech knowledge to get started, and its not ideal as i needed to get this for the household and mobiles.
only airvpn was one of the remaining that may had dubious twitter past. but it was the only choice left that had the server location i needed, so this was where i eventually land. mind, airvpn requires you to register with an account, so if you are worried about this, it's not for you. i don't use them for anonymity.
tbh, if xeovo had locations and native app setup, i will jump on it. right now it just felt like a compromise.

@t3rcermillenium @JulianOliver @cygnathreadbare Just sharing, i'm now with #xeovo , a bit more "raw" because relying on the #wireguard app rather than its own GUI, but outstanding performance there as well.
It's good to feel that we have viable alternatives!

- block ads
- split tunneling (via wireguard app)
- LAN bypass (via wireguard "allowed IPSs" conveniently configured by selecting "exclude private IPs")Being in Finland, this is at this stage my first choice.
Any feedback (technical or on the ethical side) most welcome!

Hementxe #TimeShiftekin jolasten aber lortzen dudan gauzak zeuden bezala uztea.

Жизнь после запрета писать про VPN: зачем мы остаёмся на Хабре
Как мы уже писали, с 1 декабря прошлого года Роскомнадзору разрешено блокировать сайты с информацией о VPN и иных способах обхода блокировок. С понедельника началась новая волна блокировок протоколов OpenVPN и WireGuard, приведшая к перебоям с VPN у многих пользователей. В итоге, складывается парадоксальная ситуация: писать о VPN запрещено в тот самый момент, когда людям нужнее всего новости о том, что происходит с VPN. Кто-то должен вести хронику борьбы с VPN в России — поэтому, пока у нас есть физическая возможность писать на Хабре, мы продолжим вести блог Xeovo VPN.
