The problem is always reach. The live-service market is so saturated that unless your game is "The next big thing" and can sustain itself from day one, it will struggle.
I hope that #Fragpunk does well on the market, but the same I said about #XDefiant and look how it went.

This just reaffirms the #LiveServiceGame space is saturated, and being a "good" game doesn't cut it anymore. It's either the Next Big Thing, or an adventure for one year (which is still quite good, but not for investors).
Also, #Ubisoft doesn't know what to do.

Still haven't checked out #XDefiant. Not sure how interested I am in it. Those sorts of fast-paced mindless shooters don't have a ton of appeal to me these days.

There is no skill-based #matchmaking in #Xdefiant’s casual rounds to “be fun”. I keep hearing that and I never understand it. I’ve never heard an argument for it, always just an assertion. I don’t usually play games without #SBMM, and when I do, it’s a pointless laughingstock with a divided player field where seasoned players burn out newbies or casuals. Where’s the fun in that? I think SBMM is the best thing out there to make games more fun. — #Gaming
