RE: https://mas.to/@gernot/117166397206547374
Indeed, my original toot was more dramatic than it needed to be: the branch label wasn't dropped in favor of nothing.
But the new location is arguably worse.
It moves with the bottom panel instead of staying anchored at the bottom of the window. Sigh.

Xcode 27 flat-out removed the status label showing which branch we're on.
In favor of... nothing.
The only way to get that info now is via Navigator > Source Control.
I never thought I'd say I miss anything about the 26 bundle, but this is a major step backwards.
First the file extensions, now this. Why all the hate for developers?

Just came accross the relatively old (Xcode 14) `$(RECOMMENDED_IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET)` setting.
In #Xcode27 it points to iOS 17…
Interestingly the tooltip says 'Choose a specific version, or set it to "Recommended" to automatically keep your minimum deployment aligned with OS adoption.'
Based on TelemetryDeck's data, in july iOS 17 represented for >2% of the traffic.

#swiftui never got an update to make TimelineProvider more async friendly and it's not coming with #Xcode27, so I finally got around to making my own incredibly lightweight wrapper. Feel free to checkout and use AsyncTimelineProvider.

These make for an interesting read by the way.
Translation skills are not exported from #xcode27's `xcrun agent skills export` command. Instead, they are literal inside the app bundle:
Xcode-27.0.0-Beta.2.app/Contents/PlugIns/IDEXCStringsSupport.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Skills/

Apple wouldn't be Apple if their agentic translation skills didn't contain rules on how to correctly use Apple product names 😂

DeviceHub didn't show any Simulators or let me create new ones until I killed the CoreDeviceService processes as described in this forum thread #Xcode27 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/829680
