Price shock: Asus has hiked the ROG Xbox Ally X in Japan from ¥139,800 to ¥169,800 (~$913 → $1,109) — a $196 jump.
The standard Ally stays at ¥89,800 (~$585).

So... I'm currently reviewing the Xbox Ally X, and the hardware is pretty good. I first tried things on Windows since that's the default, and the new interface is better than what they had before, but it's still a mixed bag, with the Xbox app doing some stuff while Armory Crate from ROG does some more, and in the back you also have Windows 11 settings you can't really access without going to the desktop. They are miles away from where SteamOS is right now. (thread continues)
