Wer kennt sich mit XAMPP unter windows11 aus? Meine Fragen:
1. Welche Ports empfehlen sich für eine lokale Testumgebung (80 funktioniert bei Apache nicht)
2. Wie starte ich die mysql Datenbank-Umgebung, damit ich eine bereits existierende Drupal-Datenbank integrieren kann und
3. Drupal 10.x neu lokal installieren und damit verbinden kann?
4. Bei mir wird derzeit nicht einmal eine .htm Seite lokal angezeigt. Liegt das an einem Virenscanner? Andererseits möchte ich auch nicht komplett auf den Virenschutz verzichten.
5. Aber wie konfiguriert man lokal den XAMPP so, dass der Virenscanner/Firewall damit zusammenarbeitet bzw. was müsste man bei der Firewall "schrauben", damit XAMPP tut, was er soll?

For years I've used XAMPP as my local dev environment for PHP. I just put up with the regular SQL crashes that forced me to spend 15 minutes restoring database backups half the times I started it. As if that was an integral and unavoidable part of the process. A couple of weeks ago I started a new personal project and decided to install WAMP instead. Rock solid and stable every time. Cursing myself for not switching sooner.

Crap, upgrade #xampp and forgot to take a backup of my apache2 configuration so now it can't find the source code for the sites I'm working on 🙄

currently having trouble setting up #ProcessWire, using #Windows 11, #VsCodium and #Xampp
The compatibility check tells me that i need GD 2.0, so i tried to install it. For that I need to use a nmake command, which always comes back with an error : nmake is not recognised as an internal or external command
I looked it up everywhere, people say it needs a vscode package or so, but nothing i've tried worked.
If someone has encountered the same problem i'll be glad to hear how you fixed it 😅

I just wanted to update to #Joomla5 locally. The #database connection had fallen asleep- I wanted to scold #Joomla but it was the default configuration of my new #xampp innodb-buffer-pool-size was low

Using a WSL2 #Linux distribution in #Windows is so _much_ better for #webdev than any native solutions like #XAMPP or #MAMP because Windows is just _bad_ especially for #backend programming.

I had problems getting PhpMyAdmin to work in XAMPP, alternatives like MAMP are basic & proprietary (you pay for more features). Using a local development server in Linux is a breeze. Thanks Microsoft for enabling WSL2, now we know that you also know that Windows sucks 😆
