Not every X68000 arcade port was a masterpiece. Check out my latest video that discusses five of the not-so-great X68K arcade ports!
After the video, tell me, what ports on the computer let you down?

I released a binary of my "fork" of the X68000 DaynaPort driver, as version "v1.3-CQ". It has quite a few changes compared to the v1.1 it's based on - most importantly, it works on my X68000 Expert HD now instead of locking up the SCSI bus right after startup. It also supports multipacket mode, and it can query the signal level and the connected SSID.
https://github.com/chainq/BlueSCSI-x68k/releases/tag/1.3-CQ
(This isn't a GitHub endorsement. At least for my changes, no LLM output has been used.)

Days, since I had to fix a Dayna SCSI/Link driver for my hardware: 0 🤪 👍
This time it was the X68000 driver, which was entirely broken at least the SASI use case. At least I can't see how it could have ever worked, after studying the API. Unless there are expansions out there that behave very differently using the IOCS API. But anyway, my X68000 Expert HD is now on the internetses and via WiFi, no less! 😄
BTW, is there an X68000 IRC channel? Asking for a friend. 😅

Here is first test of the cheapest X68000 mouse off evilBay. I bought it back in February... 😰 Life got in the way...
Usually I don't care a lot about using original peripherals for vintage computers and this is especially true for mice - optical mice are just way nicer to use. We've come a long way there.
But the X68000 mouse - that doubles as a trackball - is very unique, so I made an exception and bought one. Glad to say it works fine after some cleaning.
