Fedi! I need your help! I have acquired an X201 tablet Thinkpad. But for some reasons on Fedora (Workstation and Silverblue) the (pen) touch screen does not work at all. I also tried the latest Debian with Gnome and there the touchscreen works without problems (although it could do with some calibration). But I am more at home with Fedora so I would love to be able to use that.
I've at least come to the conclusion that this is not directly a Wayland issue as I tried Wayland on Debian and it worked fine. Is there some package or driver that is missing in Fedora?
I've tried searching online for the last few weeks but I've had no luck so far.
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions or possible pointers?

It should work for the next 5 years, so battery must be replaceable (I am able to replace a built-in battery as long as it's not soldered). I will use #qubesos . I don't care for a big graphics card, but the more RAM the better. No heavy CPU load, though. X480? X490? T14? I'm a bit lost here.

My #ThinkPad #x201 is easily my favorite machine; it goes with me everywhere. Purposely kept it at 4GiB of RAM. With such limited memory, I can still multitask but it keeps me incredibly focused only having multiple applications or web browser tabs related to the same topic. #archlinux #linux

Ależ to była kultura techniczna tych starszych konstrukcji. A klawiatura? Niedościgniony wzór wygody, dzisiaj już takich nie robią ⌨️Przy okazji ważna uwaga, jeśli chcecie korzystać z Ubuntu i pochodnych na tym modelu: w grubie koniecznie nomodeset do parametrów kernela, bo będzie się wieszał w trybie graficznym. Eksperymentuję również z i915.modeset=0
Z tymi ustawieniami śmiga jak złoto :)
P.S. Jeśli macie takie starsze laptopy które Wam zalegają, chcielibyście je ożywić lub przekazać w dobre ręce, by były nadal wykorzystywane, to polecam się Waszej uwadze. Jest tutaj na Polesiu sporo młodzieży tzw. wiejskiej, częściowo wykluczonej cyfrowo, której w różnych programach i współpracach przekazujemy sprzęt.
