  1. This is by far the best camera I’ve ever owned. It’s slow to boot, the battery retention clip fell off after getting corroded by a leaky battery and a few days ago it developed a sudden auto-focus issue that magically sorted itself out after a few hours. Oh, and the viewfinder has got a bacterial colony of sorts. Despite all of this it’s seen heavy use for the past nine years and I still get amazed by its ergonomics and practicality. The X100 series are true gems. #fuji #x100 #x100t #tsukumogami

  2. The dark volcanic rocks of this wharf meet the cold, dark waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. All quiet today compared to the violence committed here during the whaling years.

  3. If the builders of these beautiful church steps are going to build them out of black-and-white volcanic rock then I'm going to photograph them. Incredible amount of work.

  4. Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence. I liked the marble of the buildings against the bright blue sky and the whack perspective making it look like the smaller tower is snuggling up against the giant cathedral.

  5. The walk up to hilltop castles is almost always far more interesting than the drive up. Quiet, narrow, old paths are where it's at.

If you're looking to get an #X100 series camera from Fujifilm, I have a pretty sweet package available for the #X100T, including a custom leather half case, hood, spare batteries and more. The sensor on this camera is what many consider Fujfilm's "most film like" sensor", the X-Trans II version.

I would love for this near mint camera to get in the hands of someone really wanting to explore and dive into the world of creative, spontaneous photography.

Getting my last few photos taken with the Fujifilm X100T before I find a buyer who will enjoy the photography trips this camera will provide.

Once I sell that X100T, I know I'm going to probably miss the camera for its sensor tech.

The X-Trans II sensor is considered by many to be Fujifilm's most 'filmlike" sensor, both in RAW and especially in jpg renders.

I have to agree. The digital noise is extremely "film grain like" up to ISO 800 in RAW, and even at ISO6400, still looks more like film grain than digital noise (lookin' at you, Canon!).

But the JPG renders in camera are absolutely fantastic. On the colour shot side of things, the JPG engine really mellows out and smooths out colour noise at higher ISOs, right up to 3200 you'd be hard pressed to see any digital noise (even with noise reduction set to neutral).

What I loved most was setting noise reduction to -2, and shooting black and white, at ISOs 3200 and 6400; the jpgs looked like Tri-X shot at 100 or 200 ISO (stopped down). Organic grain to the photos, popping more in shadows. Because the X100 has a built in ND filter, I could enable that and still shoot in daylight at higher ISOs to get the grain I desired.

I know the X100VI has a ton going for it, and even more "recipe control" for mimicing film, but at the end of the day, the sensor is almost too crisp, too sharp, too "digital" in its renders.

For any #Fujifilm fans out there, I am selling my excellent condition Fujifilm X100T with a few extras (lens hood, spare batteries). Will ship in N. America (you pay shipping).

The T has the X-Trans II sensor, which many feel is the most "flilm like" of all Fujifilm's sensors; the way it handles noise is very grain-like, it is slightly (ever slightly) softer in the details, and when doing jpg, smooths out noise to a very natural grain on the 16mp sensor.

Full details including price and what comes with the camera can be found here.

  10. Psh, I finally missed a daily picture post. It completely slipped my mind. 🤦‍♀️ Oh well, I like this "from the hip" shot of graffiti along 101 in SF, with me reflected in the side mirror, totally by accident.

  11. Brewing coffee with the all porcelain (including the filter) Bayreuth brewer. There's not many all porcelain brewers out there; I should write this one up more on CoffeeGeek, because it's pretty good!

Shot with a Fujifilm #X100T camera, same Tri-X film simulation, straight from the camera.

  13. Any reviews/recommendations about the #fuji #x100 (#x100s or #x100t -- the newer gens are double the price)? Looks like a fun and easy to carry camera. Looking for imperfections in the pictures. I know nothing of #photography as well :) #fujifilm
