From time to time I check if there is a Typora-like ("What You See Is What You Mean") markdown editor for Visual Studio Code. This is the case with Mark Sharp (https://MarkSharp.co).
The basic version looks good so far. Like most such editors, it reformats existing breaks. I do not like that this means that a linebreak is put after elements that create a break anyway (like headings), but well, my compact usage seems to be bad style.

@obsidian is more featured than @zettlr, but I'm using #Zettlr anyway.
#Obsidian is #WYSIWYG, Zettlr is #WYSIWYM. Zettlr isn't elegant when you make the window narrow, it doesn't have inline nested tags (they seem to kinda work in the front matter, though), And it lacks a mobile app.
But #OpenSource has its perks. It's basically immune to #Enshittification (Not that Obsidian has been enshittifying). Hopefully it'll fix some of my complaints, because I think I'm gonna be using it for a while.

@mudge I _adore_ iA Writer, and use it for 90% of my general writing. However, it doesn't currently recognize its own sister product's markup yet (e.g. iA Presenter) or work well with variants like #Markua or #GitHubFlavoredMarkdown. That sometimes forces me to switch to a very customized .vimrc so I can tweak the markup, but that's (perhaps) a nitpick.
Between #iawriter, #vim, #Marked2, and #PanDoc I get all of my #WYSIWYM writing done faster. Thanks for sharing your process!

@del I don't disagree, but I was not advocating against editors. Only against #WYSIWYG editors. 🙅
They are, in my opinion, the root of "why can't we have nice things" and source of most of the "#MSWord memes". 🤢

Code is code and should be structured according to what it means not to how it looks. And let's also kill arbitrarily deep indents for visual alignment. Each new logical level should be one and just one level deeper.
