Like everyone just about, we've received the Council tax statement. There's one number that sticks out like a sore thumb. The Police and Crime Commissioner is £235.11 a rise of 5.99%, the District council is only £200 in comparison.
I can't imagine what value the Commissioner brings that is greater than that of the DC in providing services to the whole Wyre Forest. I never did understand the creation of this fake democratic synecure other than pandering.

We spend too much time chasing happiness and achievement, let’s experience the present in all its mundanity and moments of very small pleasure.Today nothing much happened, had a bit of a wander, nothing very exciting. Averagely unexciting stroll. Weather was flat; bought a couple of books. Saw a little herd of fallow deer next to the house aaaarrgh nooo don’t mention the deer.

That was a very happy afternoon walking around the Wyre Forest, autumnal colours and blue skies.
First time taking granddaughter out in the car for a while as last few times she was a bit travel sick. It seems turning down the regen on the Polestar and straighter roads may have helped. She loved being out there and throwing lots of leaves around
