My local NWS office (GYX) stopped issuing the surf forecast product (SRF) about a month ago (possibly seasonally) - unfortunately a really important product for judging winter coastal storm / nor’easter impacts. However, Windy v40 website & app has just stepped in to the gap with a new Waves&Tide forecast visualization. https://community.windy.com/post/166156 #WXtools

Here's a cool new open source project to go alongside Supercell Wx.
It's called OpenStorm.

For those of you wanting to try Supercell Wx development builds (Feature incomplete) but not wanting to log into GitHub. I have a solution.
While Dan focuses on Supercell Wx itself, I've decided to post the development builds as pre-releases onto my GitHub fork so you can download it and enjoy the use of placefiles without the need to login.
Eventually this will switch to Dan's GitHub, but for now this will work.

@JosephAndriano Take a look at the Windy app if you are on iOS. Not only a good app in itself, but great widgets for home, lock, and standby screens. You can go premium if/when you need more models and longer range forecasts. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/windy-com-weather-radar/id1161387262 #WXtools

I finally submitted the stable build (It's currently -bin, sorry -git folk) of Supercell Wx to the Arch User Repository (AUR).
I'll be working with Dan to see how he wants to do the versioning of the dev builds (Also referred as test or beta or alpha builds) and then I will be adding that to the AUR as well.
Just a reminder that the stable build still doesn't have placefile support, that's only the dev builds at the moment.

I've been working on placefile customizations. Color coding and line thickness adjustments for the SPC outlooks and MCD's.
Oh yeah, and since they're done (in my eyes), I opened sourced em' too. No credit required. No license to hold you back, take and use as you please. Feel free to make it better.
I'll be adding more over time, like I promised :)

This kind of information, on Hurricane Lee, all in one link is like weather heaven for me. Check this out, scroll down to the bottom (slowly) from the link below. Little details like the gradient of the water temps in the background of the cone of uncertainty layer is 💯
