    Every morning, I turn on my weather radio for a short bit just to hear the friendly generated voice of the National Weather Service -- and to make sure it hasn't been defunded. Some people might not know it's there, but it serves a great purpose for those who do.

    Sweet baby jesus, as if we didn't have enough going on, the #WXK27 #NWS #WeatherRadio transmitter in #AustinTX is out of service. How'd I find out? When my #weather #radio beeped and flashed because it's been a whole week since it picked up any signal.
