Experimented with some film wildlife photography this week. Need a faster film for next time (this was Fujifilm C200), but the result is really interesting.
This was one of the good ones that wasn’t horribly underexposed - some flamingos at Slimbridge wetlands.
Taken using a Nikon F-801 with a Sigma 150-600 Sport. Which was awkward.

White-spotted Bluethroat (Luscinia svecica cyanecula) was the star of the morning - fantastic views of this smart male. Fabulous and uplifting to see. Even the elegant Black-winged Stilt and Avocet couldn't match it!

One of the Daves and I made the trip up the M5 today to WWT Slimbridge. We had a great day out and saw 46 species of birds including Common Crane, White-fronted Goose, Bewick Swan and the White-rumped Sandpiper (a rare visitor to the UK).
