Tesla has settled another FSD failure lawsuit, this one with the family of a 15-year-old California boy, Jovani Maldonado, who was killed in a 2019 highway collision after a Tesla Model 3, traveling at over 60 mph, slammed into Jovani’s father's pickup truck. The driver had Autopilot engaged. Terms of the settlement were not released.
As of August 4th, nearly 60 people have been killed in crashes involving Tesla Autopilot and Full Self-Driving, according to data from a federal repository.
Meanwhile, The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has also filed suit saying Tesla wrongly characterizes it’s “fully self-driving” and has asked for a one-month ban on Tesla’s being driven in the state. The court verdict is expected next month.

The lawsuit, filed on Friday, alleges that a coordinated effort between government agencies and Malcolm X’s assassins enabled the killing and that evidence of their involvement was actively hidden for decades.
Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little and later known as el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz, was fatally shot on February 21, 1965, as he began speaking at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem, New York. The lawsuit claims law enforcement actions contributed to his vulnerability, including the NYPD’s arrest of his security detail days prior and the removal of officers from the venue during the event. The court filing also asserts that undercover agents from federal agencies were present at the ballroom but failed to intervene during the attack.

Heads up everyone: #Disney's latest attack on legal rights is one that needs to be widely acknowledged, to create a PR situation that discourages corporations from doing it in the future.
They are now apparently arguing that, because a #DisneyPlus trial and an #Epcot ticket both require you to agree to #arbitration in the future, they can bar you from a #WrongfulDeath #lawsuit against any of their subsidiaries for an unlimited time after the subscription is over and the ticket has been used.
Not only is the idea of enforcing a #liability waiver on a wrongful death outside of something known to be dangerous insane, but they are trying to make it such that, if you ever sign any agreement with them, you permanently forfeit your #rights to any sort of #court action for the rest of your life.
This would effectively render all #legal and #constitutional protections null and void, because anyone could get you to sign a #waiver and use it against you years later.

To this day, no one has ever been held responsible for her death. #RIPMom
