I thought my progress on book 2 of #LightEternal was so slow, so I compiled it from Scrivener to take a look at the word count: 21.8k words or about 22 A4 pages. That is not as much as I had wished for but more than I had expected!😊 Especially since I've only started working on it in May/June.😊

For the village of Eloailsa, the nearby lake provides fish, water greens, and clams. The fish and greens are preserved for the long winters, and many villagers spend mornings and evenings collecting or fishing along the shore.

I took heavy inspiration from Scottish history for the creel basket designs, but they seem to be almost universal around the world.

Wrote a 3,678 word short story rough draft today. It's a sweet story, with a young apprentice who rescues a dragon from a unicorn.

It needs revision and I'm not sure what I'll do with it after that. It's been suggested that I find markets to submit stories to and try doing that, but I've seen more articles of magazines shutting down due to AI crap than calls for submissions lately.
