  1. Look! I cleaned up my messy desk!!!

When I'm writing, I generally can't be bothered with mundane tasks like cleaning, but once in a while the clutter gets to be too much for me. Then I go into an orgy of cleaning. I even dusted!

What do you think? How often do you clean your desk?

  2. @Priyajsridhar
Do I have a writing desk?

Yes. It's really a typing table. It's upstairs in my *one day* office, which needs to be cleaned out (with a shovel) so I can move in there and work.

I'm working on a table (that's too high) in the great room, surrounded by two stories of walls covered in great art.

    First world problem.

ps. I also have an editing desk, designed to look at multiple copies at once.

  14. Adjusting to writing in a new space - it's hard!

I sold my rural Oregon house in September and, though it was the right move, I'm really missing my little closet-turned-writing-nook today.

It was such a gift and I wish I'd appreciated it (i.e., used) it more, back when I used to think I'd live there forever.
