I'm seeking advice from #writers:
Right now, I'm not getting what I want out of my creative writing. I still feel like I'm holding myself back, playing it safe, hiding behind words instead of using them to reach out to the reader.
I think I need to break myself open, get a little crazy, shake it up a bit so I can bypass my thinking mind and write from the heart.
Do you have any suggested exercises (or other advice) for this kind of thing?

Wearing a pretty dress.

Writing it for hours, in different shades and and forms, until it feels right.That's what I do at my favourite coffee place every Wednesday to write #Poetry.

So from what I've heard, the #bluesky protocal is federated, but for corporations so they can continue to stalk you and make money, so they won't use ActivityPub?
Most comments on twitter are very kind, people say it's what they want, while Mastodon comments say it is very horrible. Hmmm!

I’m pretty sure my fondness for 3rd person limited with multiple POVs shows the early influence of #ArthurRansome, who still strikes me as pretty darn good at it. Especially in his finest books, ‘Winter Holiday’ & ‘Pigeon Post’, which were also my masterclasses in handling a large cast (8 main characters, all given significant roles to play, esp. in PP).

My news: finished chapter seven and pushed it to my darling, brilliant, patient, talented, insightful, sharp-eyed, creative critique partners.
Do I appreciate my critique partners? Yes. Yes I do.
Starting eight, the last chapter in the first act. On track to hit 80k total word count.
