#WordWeavers 2026.05.16 — Would your WIP still work if you changed the gender of your MC?
Well, you see, the story is already gender fiction. The narrative should eventually cause the reader to change the gender of the MC in their minds, then other characters to boot. I expect they'll find it revelatory. I hope everybody learns something about the oppressive absurdity of gender roles.
To answer the question, of course it would still work, but the message would be totally lost!
