The things I do for content..

Today, that was getting sunsick. Emerson and I went to a bookshop downtown after our original plans fell through, and I got…kind of irradiated making a video while I was waiting for him to finish up inside.

I have to be awake at 10 AM tomorrow for writer’s group and I did not nap today like a fool.

Pray for me, if you’re into that. If you’re not, send me good energy, I guess.

I need to shut my eyes now. I am so, so tired..

Sometimes the first lines you tap out are the greatest things you've done in months:

Nurse Koblencja was the only woman to ever ask his name without putting a gun in his face. Her long blond hair looked like momma’s, and he told her this when they met in a bombed-out castle near Butzow.

After three weeks of 24/7 care for a relative where I had no time to read, let alone write, I opened Midwinter Day by Bernadette Mayer on the flight home. I had tried it before, found some interesting images but not something I could really grasp. Coming off of three intense weeks, the poetry spoke. That’s what good poetry does. It can be a lifeline. #poetry #writersgroup #poets

The first time my nascent writers group met, the house was one day past 5yo getting diagnosed with a double ear infection, and two days prior to cat getting diagnosed with pancreatitis. We met again yesterday, and the almost-2yo threw up in the afternoon.

Next meeting is in a fortnight, I feel a little apprehensive now.
