Care and Reception Center - Today, Dec 29 and Tomorrow, Dec 30 only, San Bernardino County OES and Wrightwood CERT will provide water and supportive services from 10 to 4 pm in the Wrightwood Community Building. Donations of non perishable foods, Pet Food and supplies and monetary donations are being accepted. -
That will buff right out! After you dig out that wet gravel and those rocks. 🤪

World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is in #California providing meals after heavy rains cause major flooding and mudslides in San Bernardino County.
A WCK team on the ground is working hand-in-hand with local restaurant partners to serve meals in the towns of #Wrightwood and Lytle Creek. -

Wrightwood's littlest pet shop is still standing, ... but water damage, unsafe drinking water, and a power outage that’s already lasted two days (and could stretch much longer) have made caring for the animals incredibly difficult.
They currently need some financial help to cover the costs for temporary heat and light, clean water, food, and repairs.

My mom and brother are doing well, their homes have been spared by the flooding, but no electricity or water and had to get supplies from the only store open in town, the gas station/mini mart. I think previous owners of the grocery store would have kept it open but the current owners don't care about locals. #Wrightwood

That sucks, a friend in #wrightwood had some flood damage. The berm along the side of the road failed in a spot, and his yard and part of his garage became part of a new stream.

I learned to ski here in 1971 when it was named Blue Ridge. The rental equipment was even old for that time, leather boots and bear trap bindings. A few years later, Blue Ridge merged with nearby Holiday Hill and became Mountain High. Even though the #LineFire has now been 42% contained and the mandatory evac has been lifted for local homeowners and businesses, the nearby #BridgeFire has now eclipsed it as the largest #wildfire burning right now in #California, and if it gets any bigger, it will be the second largest #fire burning this year in #californiafires.🔥
