Friday evening, New York time, the American Dialect Society will choose its Words of the Year for 2023, as well as an overall Word of the Year. It looks based on this evening's nomination session that there will be a special ad-hoc "AI" category. "AI" itself was nominated for Euphemism of the Year. The final vote will take place at the society's annual meeting in New York City. #woty2023 #woty
