Had four player War of the Ring last night, great time as the free peoples. We were getting crushed on corruption early but Shadow was being slow on military. We also weren't getting good cards. Yet somehow pulled off a ring dunk from a couple good rolls and horrible hunt draws. #wotr #boardgames

I managed to do another Army Showcase, for a #WaroftheRoses army.

Co-wrote an article on #wotr on the need for more adaptability in #NATO.

So, there are plenty of #Wargaming things going on.

Seconds before disaster

It needs but one foe to breed a war, not two, Master Warden, and those who have not swords can still die on them.

#Pathfinder #WotR isn't a very clippable game, but I am enjoying the effect of this AoE knockdown skill. And the fact that it seems to work on monsters with no legs. :3 #Gaming #RPG

Is it really a final boss fight if you don't get at least one crash? :p
Anyway, that's the end of that DLC. Sorta. It's a Roguelike-alike, so you CAN keep going, but you get reset every time you finish a full run so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thoughts? It's fine. #Pathfinder #WotR #MidnightIsles

I'm nearing the end of The Midnight Isles #Pathfinder #WotR expansion -- or at least the story-ish elements they stuck in to fill out the random dungeon adventuring. I'm actually enjoying it a lot, it's not far off that fever dream I have of an Everlasting Gobstopper #RPG that shows up whenever I don't have another RPG to play :P
I will say, though, it really points up the flaws in the early game. Man, low-level parties are just kinda *boring.* Y'got no options and like a 50-75% miss chance :/

Been playing too much #Pathfinder #WotR I think. Dreamed I was being followed by some guys so I made a stealth check and got away >_>

Here's the correctly-sized images if you want to use 'em ^^

This is Pel, my first #Pathfinder #WotR character. She becomes a Lich, but at the start of the game she's a fugitive from Geb, the land of undead. A Dhampir born and raised to be a wizard redshirt, Pel was trained just enough to perform dangerous rituals so her wealthy progenitor wouldn't have to risk his own skin. She sabotaged one such ritual to fake her own death and ended up fleeing straight into Areelu and the events of the game.

Progress continues. Face definitely looks better with the cloak filled in behind it.
-
Background turned out okay, there's a section in the middle/lower right I'm gonna tweak once I've got the figure in a more complete state. Also probably the sky a bit, it may be too grey.
-
Coming along. Colors'll look better once I move past the face.
-
I don't have a lot of landscape experience, so it's nice when I wing it and it pays off ^^

Working on a portrait of Pel, my Necromancer Lich for my eventual re-run of #Pathfinder #WotR. Getting the colors in harmony was a real pain in the ass, her skin's gonna look *totally* wrong until I get the highlights and a layer or two of overpainting in. Trust the process, I tell myself, my knuckles white 😬

I'm kinda thinking about restarting Lord of Nothing. My TtA character really doesn't make much sense in this campaign, which is frustrating. LoN is so wildly different from TtA, it's weird they're a continuation of the same story :/ #Pathfinder #wotr #gaming #rpg
-
I'm kinda surprised they didn't put the first fight of LoN at the end of TtA, that would've made a good final battle. Oh well :/ #Pathfinder #WotR #Gaming #RPG

So Through the Ashes ends on kind of an anticlimax (and only around Lv. 4) so we're on to the second half of this campaign, Lord of Nothing. The first things that happen are that you gain two levels from the first battle and are given access to shops, retraining, and rest. Suffice to say the tone is a little different :P #Pathfinder #WotR #Gaming #RPG

I've gotten the party up to Lv. 3 now, so we've actually got some combat options now, thank god. The most annoying part of being low level in any game is having only two or three things you can actually DO in a fight.
'Course now I'm fighting monsters with resistances-- the base game throws weirdly strong monsters at low levels too, so that's no shock -- butbit is annoying with limited resources. #Pathfinder #wotr #gaming #rpg

Y'know, for as much as the description played up the importance of avoiding combat, fighting is still the biggest way of improving your characters in this DLC. Yeah you don't get XP, but you get money, items, and non-shitty equipment! Which is pretty important! #Pathfinder #wotr #gaming #rpg
-
I kinda wish Owlcat had been willing to do the same kinda homebrewing that Larian did in BG3. Some of the #Pathfinder game mechanics just don't... Light up the screen, y'know? #WotR #Gaming #RPG
-
But yeah, I feel like I've got a better handle on it, so I went back and started an Alchemist. Thematically it just works better to roleplay as a normal citizen rather than a Super Cool Wolf Rider :P #Pathfinder #WotR #Gaming #RPG
-
Man, the early early game of Through the Ashes is *really* painful. Little or no resources, resting isn't available until you clear the first section, you only get weapons which actively reduce your accuracy -- and low accuracy was the most irritating part of the combat system to begin with!
Thankfully once you get past that, things get better. The hardest part is getting actually decent equipment, but there's a merchant in the second area. Thank god. #Pathfinder #WotR #Gaming #RPG

Alright, started the Through the Ashes campaign in #Pathfinder #WotR. I would *like* to play through it as a humble alchemist but the way the mechanics of this one are described I don't think playing as a "rest every third encounter" character is a good idea.
Still kinda wanna do a Halfling, tho. We'll do a Cavalier of the Paw, the extra character's gonna be a big help, and your allies are a Thief and a Sorceror, so a tanky fighter sounds like a good idea. #Gaming #RPG

Here we go, my #Pathfinder Lich. :D
