I hope no one takes it the wrong way but having Siuan actually grieve for Moiraine in the The Wheel Of Time show, unlike in the books, was one of the things I was most looking forward to

Like yes we could do away with the whole washerwoman and even the whole romance with a man who looks 40 years her senior while barely giving her previous girlfriend a thought and I WAS LEGITIMATELY TRUSTING RAFE WITH DOING EXACTLY THAT but now…. Ugh

I know I’ve already said this but saying it again, having Siuan mourn the love of her life on top of being stilled and overthrown and losing everything would’ve been so, so, so, so, so bloody good

RAFE I’M INSIDE YOUR WALLS

The Aelfinn and Eelfinn characters are inspired by elf folklore. Like elves, the Aelfinn and Eelfinn have strange powers, including appearing and disapearing suddenly, seeing the future, and granting three questions/wishes. In fact, the Old English word for elf was aelf. What was your favorite part of the Tower of Ghenjei storyline?

The "future history" that Aviendha sees for the Aiel is reminiscent of the forced displacement of the Cherokee and other Indigenous People, often referred to as the Trail of Tears.

Before swearing to the Shadow Sammael was known as Tel Janin Aellinsar, a world-renowned sportsman, excelling in a number of events, including archery, and a bloodless competition with swords. In this sport he was world champion. Reportedly he was a friend of Lews Therin Telamon, before the War of Power.
