‚Briefe an politische Gefangene zu schreiben, in diesem Fall Anarchist:innen, ist eine sehr sinnvolle Praxis. Nicht nur macht es die Zeit im Knast erträglicher, es zeigt auch, dass der Zusammenhalt an den Gefängnismauern nicht endet.
Das Prinzip der Strafe ist bereits in seinen Grundzügen unterkomplex, es ist Ausdruck von Unfähigkeit, eine gesellschaftliche Bankrott-Erklärung. Mit Machtdemonstration und Abschreckung verschleiert es die eigene Überforderung. Wenn der Staat straft und Personen für etliche Jahre der „Freiheit entzieht“, dann handelt es sich um Rache mit dem Motiv der moralischen Überlegenheit.
Aber unsere eingesperrten Genoss:innen müssen nicht alleine damit klarkommen und es gibt dem auch eine gewisse Sicherheit, zu wissen, dass die menschliche Verbindung nicht aufhört zu existieren, nur weil Knastmauern uns trennen. Es sollte noch selbstverständlicher und vor allem praktisch umgesetzt werden, diese Möglichkeit innerhalb der anarchistischen Bewegung auszuschöpfen.
Es lohnt sich, uns gegenseitig zu ermutigen mit dem Briefeschreiben anzufangen. So wird Vertrauen und Zuversicht aufgebaut, bevor es uns selbst erwischt und wir auf die Kontaktaufnahme anderer angewiesen sind.‘

En un mundo en el que se intensifican el autoritarismo, el fascismo, a causa de guerras entre Estados y contra los pueblos (siendo el juego de los ricos). Se fomenta la destrucción de la vida salvaje, y se endurece la represión contra lxs anarquistas, con condenas de prisión cada vez más largas y aislamientos cada vez mayores en las cárceles...
En un estado llamado Mexico, dónde aumenta la violencia con el narcotráfico a las comunidades, y en el que hay miles y miles de desaparecidxs, se agravia la precariedad y la miseria de la vida...
En Oaxaca, donde el Estado asesinó a nuestro compañero anarcopunk Chava, también persiguiendo y criminalizando a nuestro compañero Miguel Peralta. Dónde los megaproyectos con el turismo burgués destruyen los territorios y ecosistemas. Dónde comunidades, sociedad en general están siendo cooptadas y domesticadas por la política de la 4t, disfrazada de "izquierda".
Compartimos una jornada anticarcelaria y antiautoritaria en el marco de Agosto Negro y la Semana Internacional de Solidaridad Con Lxs Presxs Anarquistas y perseguidxs, para compartir experiencias desde dentro la lucha contra la cárcel y contra la autoridad.
Habrá platicas, actualizaciones de diferentes casos de represión, encarcelamiento y persecución, proyecciones, música, arte y otros materiales creados en el marco de la lucha contra las cárceles y la sociedad carcelaria.

WOSWAP 2026Although the authoritarian regime unleashed mass repression on the public solidarity movement, it did not disappear. It has largely survived in less visible forms: supporting relatives of political prisoners with words of encouragement, money, legal advice, and other guidance.

🐙 19:00 TalkThe International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners[1] takes place every year between 23-30 August to commemorate the murders of the Haymarket martyrs in Chicago, 1886, who died for freedom, labour rights and dignity.
This year at BASE we’re holding a fund-raising dinner and letter writing event along with a talk by ex-prisoner Toby Shone, who will speak about the international week, the background of Operation Adream*, his own prison experience and the importance of solidarity, as well as the continual need for revolutionary action.
