Join the City Of Raleigh for an exciting event to celebrate World Water Day 2025 at Lake Johnson Park in Raleigh, NC, on Friday, March 21st, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. This event is a collaboration between Raleigh Parks and NC State University, bringing you Trailside Science: Celebrating World Water Day.
What is World Water Day?
World Water Day is an annual observance by the United Nations, dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of freshwater and inspiring global efforts to address water-related challenges. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the critical role water plays in sustaining life on Earth.
About the Event
This year’s celebration promises an exciting, water-filled adventure for all ages. The event will explore the impact of water quality, algae, and algae blooms on pets, wildlife, and humans. Attendees will engage in fun, hands-on citizen science activities, learning from experts and partner organizations about the delicate balance of ecosystems in our water bodies.
