A special request to our friends in the Fediverse in the #USA
The World Crossgolf Championships are in Slovakia in September.
A very typical sport that does not require specially built golf parks, etc. And it looks like players from the USA want to come and take part and need support.

Help send Team USA to the World Cup of Urban Golf!!
Aaron Koch and myself, Michael 'Flip' McGuire, are headed to Košice, Slovakia in September to represent the U.S. and battle to bring back the World Cup!
As of right now, we are paying for everything out of pocket...airfare, train tickets, hotels, food, registration fees...even the regulation foam balls we are using to practice are pretty spendy. ...and not to mention the time we have to take off of work.
We are very excited to have this rare opportunity to represent our entire country competing in this goofy sport we love so dear.
Having both grown up around golf, we continued our love of the game into adulthood. When the pandemic hit years back, golf was one of the outdoor activities that we could do socially....
