In the Philippines I stayed once on a small island called Siquijor, before the tourisme boost hit.

I rented a cute little yellow house with nipa roof, right on the beach.

I lived there for nearly 6 months, until the neighbours started a 24/7 karaoke bar, time to move on, and leave this view behind.

Some days on a roadtrip you pass through villages that you think: God maybe I could live here.
But it is always merely a stop during the journey, sometimes for a drink, or some food, or gasoline.

Sometimes just for the night.

Got my license when I was 54 in the Philippines, I started with a small humble Yamaha SZ150, that was in the Philippines.

Then a Bajaj Dominar 400, also in the Philippines (I love that bike!! ❤️ )

And now a BMW 310GS (Mexico), also pretty good! 😜

All I own fits in the back, and that is how I travel/live.

Kuala Lumpur, made a deep impression on me, to see so many religions close together on such limited space. It is a vibrant melting pot. Amazing.

But also the abundance of the city, piles of fresh produce during the evening markets, lots of little restaurants tucked away in small alleys.....I loved it.
