Recognize that the US is like a drug addict wallowing at the bottom of the barrel. There’s nothing you can do for the addict. Walk away. It will be painful at first, but you will be better off. Maybe the US will recover on its own. I don’t know. 30+% still support Trump and the Republicans.
Do you trust the US as a partner?
So world, ask yourself, is there really anything made in the US that you need that can’t be found elsewhere? I’m at a loss to think of anything.
Computer chips? Good enough chips can be found elsewhere. Software, no. Good competing software and platforms are already available in Canada and the EU with new solutions emerging. Food, not really, there are agricultural resources out side of the US. Heavy equipment? Again not really, there are other manufacturers.
Yes, we import a lot of your products, which would be painful loosing the US market. But you would be better off in the long run.

Couldn't find my passcard on my way in. At Chambers/ #WorldTrade, I dump my purse onto a bench, but still can't find it. For good measure, I empty the pockets, shake it upside down -- no dice, but some mess falls out.

After a moment, I said "I'm not praying to anyone. I'm apologizing to you, but you don't have to accept it.
