The woman leading the capital of the Netherlands was pushing her own bicycle up the ramp from the underground bike parking beneath the square. No security. No car with a driver. Just the mayor of our city getting around Amsterdam the same way so many of us do.
So I turned around and asked her, like a shameless fanboy:
“Is it terribly embarrassing if I ask you for a selfie?”
“Nah,” she said. “Come on!”

i had A LOT of problems with light banding that I wasn't prepared to deal with at the event, so a big lesson learned with a giant LED screen in the background of my subjects. so i'm just embracing the mistake ^^

alright, i have gone through 15,820 photos that I took at Amsterdam's World Pride Wedding Party XXL event, and selected 472 of them for sharing

even more women of color from other countries congratulating NL on 25 years of marriage equality. congratulating on the priviledge of Dutch youth that they have only ever known marriage equality. reminding Dutch queer people how the fight is not over
(this event was sold out, so i went to the back/exit, asked people leaving for their wristband, got one, returned to the front/entrance, and asked politely if i could go back in ^^)

This puppy had an amazing day at the world pride walk. Walked together with a lot of puppies, leather men, bears, and other people. The closing concert was a lot of fun too together with my man/fox.
