Europe’s surprise I don’t understand. The US has acted like bullies for decades. It acts as the world police, ignoring international law. It starts wars and causes unrest in weaker countries that it has an interest in. This mirrors Europe’s past behavior as well. After all, many Americans are European descendants. I’m surprised European leaders didn’t see it coming that they themselves would be a future target.
