Damals wie heute: alle feiern Louis Daguerre, aber niemand denkt an Nicéphore Niépce – dem wahren Erfinder. 🤓

I've salvaged what I could from my first few rolls with my new camera (Rolleicord V), and turned it into this unconventional photo post: https://kedara.eu/unconventional-photo-post/
This happened on #WorldPhotographyDay too, if you can believe the coincidence.

I grew up in a family of photographers. Photography is about capturing and preserving a moment, and the feelings I had when I realised...
#Bretagne and the feeling I had when I saw this ruin near Carnac.

A bird flying in the sky at Halibut Point State Park, Massachusetts in July, 2025.
Technically #MeerMittwoch since the little bit of water visible is the Atlantic Ocean.

Spooky season is right around the corner, and that was on my mind when I took this photo last night. Folks like their skulls and bats, but my favorite kind of spooky is bleak and full of dread. This scene has that so, for World Photography Day, that's what you're getting.
I am, at heart, a Goth. ;)

On World Photography Day, I’ve been thinking about this year’s theme: home.
For me, home isn’t one fixed place. It’s morning light in an Ohio forest, a quiet wildlife encounter, fog over distant mountains, or waves along a distant coastline.
Photography gives me a reason to look closer, travel farther, and spend time in the natural world.

I don't have any professional-grade equipment or skills, but I love photography in everyday life. Simple snapshots of us for the occasion.

It's "World Photography Day". I went through some of my old pictures & created a few collages of the time I was in Greece with my mom and Dimi for around 6 weeks when I was about 15.
They went over there in April when Dimi was about 9 months old. After school got out for the summer in May, me & my cousin Harriet, who was more like an aunt to me (my grandma's age) flew over & joined them.
