Just a simple selfie for a simple day

Bolt awake this morning at 6:15am and could NOT get back to sleep. Try as I might to drag my feet through the usual routine, I still found myself at work at 7:45am which is hecka-early; usually I'm rocking up at the office at 9...9:30ish.
So now it's 10 to 10am, and it feels like I've been here for hours and I want to eat my lunch. I have been productive so far, so that's nice, but everything else about this I hate very much.

Tomorrow I go back to an office that isn't at home for the first time in 5 years. It'll definitely be different driving an hour to work the same job...I've been doing remotely just with a more prison like atmosphere, people all around talking meetings without headphones etc 🤣. Now granted it's just 1 day this week, but by January it'll be full time again. #worksucks

Had a rough night my foot and ankle is killing me and just couldn’t sleep well the swelling is driving me crazy and then having to get up at 3:30 to be at work at 5 am on a Saturday eff this #WorkSucks

My friend has to work overnight from 9pm tonight to 5am tomorrow patching servers. His employer won't pay him any overtime for this but they did offer to let him come in two hours late for his Friday shift.
Wow... TWO whole hours...and they wonder why nobody wants to work anymore.

Well he's been invited to participate in a charity golf event sponsored by his company... they're only charging $700 per foursome. 😱
My buddy is now SURE his company has forgotten what they pay him to work there.

Well thank goodness that week’s over and done with. Stress and work-induced anxiety attacks have made this a very long week but now it’s time to relax with wine and maybe a bit of Hogwart’s legacy, and hopefully some app coding tomorrow.

CW: Blood and injury
Just got home from the ER. I had to have my head examined. Yeah, I hear the jokes already LOL
I was checking the battery for a customer and a big (freezing) gust of wind managed to shift the hood support just enough. Apparently the van didn't take kindly to its battery being messed with. My head got in the way.
The doc said it was more flash than bang. Looks worse than it was, didn't even need stitches, but it'll be sore for a bit.
