Murphy's law in action:

I ordered a new work laptop on Monday. No shipping information for three days.

I arrive to the office this morning to see it will delivered at home (as I asked, since I work from home 4 days/week) today. The one day I work from the office (not even the closest one), and have client meetings.

I had to literally smh and lol this morning: Two consults involving chickens wherein one only presented dorsal-ventral x-ray view and the other case only presented a lateral view. Too bad I couldn't combine the two cases to get one good set of images. It makes it very difficult to get a 3D concept of the organs and bones with only one 2D view. Veterinarians know this and pretty much always get at least 2 views of any other animal they work on, yet it's so utterly common for them to only do one view of a bird. I have no idea why that is. If you're a vet and you're going through all the trouble/trauma of getting radiographs, do it right! You'll thank yourself (and so will I!).

Our department is working on standardizing symbols for drawings. A couple of local colleagues are in charge of generating the input so that non local colleagues can implement it in the software we use.

I am now reviewing the output based on what my local colleagues consider reviewed and approved input ready for final implementation.

So far I have found
- inconsistent order of languages
- missing translations
- wrong translations
- wrong use of apostrophes
- not knowing the difference between load (demand) and capacity (delivery)
- inconsistent use of terms
- acronyms not matching the spelled out term

And I'm not even done with 1/6th of the document

I am invited to a meeting (long standing) from 1300 to 1700 (don't ask, I know 4h meetings are not efficient)

Day before, at 1700, it gets updated to 1430 to 1830. I work til 1600 so only see in the morning.

Then at 1415 the same day it gets moved to 1500 to 1700.

What the actual fuck.
