Also macht er sich die Mühe auf jeder einzelnen Seite etwas anzustreichen und dann meine Schwester zu fragen: "Und bis wann können Sie die Korrektor bringen?" und meine Schwester fragt: "Ist Morgen in Ordnung"?

Nice article about Michael J Fox's new memoir, but 1985 was neither pre-internet nor *pre-word processor*. For example, WarGames in its initial scene setting was a reasonably accurate film portrayal of what you could do with a modem in 1983, and WordStar launched in 1978.

My high school didn’t have enough fancy 286 computers so some of us used original 8086 with just 384kb of ram? IDE (had to use #WordStar key bindings) was Turbo #Pascal 3.0 and I’d exit back to DOS to compile.

I volunteered to use the worst computer so the following semester I’d get first dibs on new (for the school) computers: 386 w/4MB ram. 😎

T3X/0 now has a WordStar-compatible editor for CP/M that can compile T3X programs and locate errors.

It runs fine on my Agon Light 2 and makes T3X programming on CP/M much more fun, because you do not have to leave the editor for compiling. The Agon is fast so that you barely notice how the compiler overlay is loaded.
