By using the phrase "toward #China 🇨🇳," you misleadingly make it sound like #Taiwan 🇳🇫 is the aggressor. Taiwan fired the rockets at targets 9 km offshore, but China's nearest point is 160 km away from #Taichung. 😡

It's taken many years, but I've gotten my wife to use the word "#Mandarin" (#華語) in place of "#Chinese" (#中文) and to stop saying "#mainland" (#大陸)… most of the time. Teach by example. 😄

  7. I used to call the #228_Massacre the "#228_Incident" and used to call #Lunar_New_Year "#Chinese_New_Year," but now I know better.

    我之前把228的狀況稱為「#事件」。現在知道應該把它稱為「#大屠殺」,不再說「事件」。

  8. When somebody pointed out to me 19 years ago that I should say "#228_Massacre" instead of "#228_Incident (#二二八事件)," I immediately changed. I stopped calling it an "incident" evermore on March 5, 2007 after getting this message.

You call the language #Tâigí 🇳🇫 in the headline, and you say it's "commonly known as #Taiwanese," but then you go and use "#Hoklo" as if it's the best way to say it… 🤦🏽‍♂️

Mostly good, but the reporter calls #Taiwan (#台灣) 🇳🇫 "#island" (#島嶼) 10 times, and only the #editor gets in the #BBC's single use of the word "#country" (#國家) to describe it. (Other uses of "country" are all by #Former_president #Tsai_Ing_wen [#蔡英文].)

Do you realize you have parroted Bejing's #propaganda without countering it with #facts.

    📢 Dear #Japan_Times,

🤔 Here is how you deal with Chinese propaganda.

    💔 Love,

    ✌ You don't need to be a #superhuman to stop saying "#mainland" (#大陸) and to just say "#China" 🇨🇳 (#中國) or "#PRC" (#中共) instead. ⚛ Just do it! ✔
