7 May at University of Gothenburg and online, there will be an open workshop "Word Rains and Word Clouds:

Plugging the #ExecutiveOrder on #AI into #Voyant for a quick #Wordcloud, with no edits to stopwords or other processing, is exactly as uninteresting as you might expect. Still, I was bored and I did it so you don't have to. 😀

I've been experimenting with using word clouds for illustrating collections of related synsets, e.g. the holonym substance relation for a specific synset (pictured: flour in Danish).

It works quite well, but I did end up simulating the word sizes based entirely on the sort order of the weights, rather than deriving them more directly. I did this to get a fairly predictable appearance for clouds of any size.

All the way to the left and it's #Cats all the time, all the way to the right and it's all about #MAGA #DWAC_stock #Hodel and #ProudBoys. Make that a slider with X,Y, Z axes so that I could include another modifier like #Science that goes from #Fact to #Fiction !
