  9. On #AfricanAmericanHistory If you truly integrate it into #AmericanHistory it changes the story. In the early days of #womensstudies we said you can't just add women & stir. Writing the history of African Americans means rewriting mainstream history. This is what #supremacists fear. Last night on @chrislhayes #TahnehisiCoates insisted the counter reaction signals fear. I found this reassuring that there is progress. But still, when people lash out in fear, they can do a lot of damage.
